Monument Buyer's Guide

4 Essential factors in selecting the perfect Memorial

Selection

There are hundreds of colors, memorial designs and custom options. The cemetery may have rules and regulations that must be followed before making a final decision. The material we use is Granite because of its durability though the ages. Bronze is often used for flat markers and for embellishments to monuments. You may also want to add vases to your monument. Pictures and brochures do not depict all the important differences.

Craftmanship

Selecting, design and carving granite is complex. Terre Haute Monument designs and sandblasts most monuments on site. Our talented monument designer will assist you with creating a memorial that uniquely honors your loved one. Because we design and engrave our monuments on site, we are able to provide the highest level of quality and service at affordable prices.

Price

The price of a gravestone is primarily determined by the granite color, overall size and the textures used, plus whatever applicable cemetery charges are involved. Prices can range from under $1,000 for flat markers and simple upright monuments to $10,000 and higher for more elaborate monuments. There is a very solid, concrete foundation used below upright monuments so there is very little problem with monuments tipping, shifting, or becoming un-level.

Reputation

Repeat customers are our #1 source of business. We take pride in customer satisfaction. When it comes to quality and craftsmanship, Terre Haute Monument is the only authorized Rock of Ages dealer in the Wabash Valley. The Rock of Ages craftsman works with only the finest memorial granites. The craftsman selects only those granites with an even texture and aesthetic purity.
